You were my friend, and here we are again
Nothing owed and nothing gained from the years gone by of drifting apart
From the lies you told right from the start
I understand, that life continues even if we feel lost in time
Waking up, not knowing who I am with no one to turn to, no one to fight for
My friends are dead, or so they say
They're just living a dead end life
This endless abyss that is my life will never cease to exist
Spiraling downward
Always downward into what my memories hold dear
This cold sensation glistening in the moonlight overtakes my very existence
These people all around can't even see me
They can't even see what is real
Who are you?
I can't even tell from the years gone by
You're withered, changed, barely recognized
This life owes you nothing
Seeing, but never understanding anyone else but yourself
Strip down the layers of life to reveal the truth
This endless abyss that is my life will never cease to exist
Spiraling downward
Always downward into what my memories hold dear
Waking up, not knowing who I am with no one to turn to, no one to fight for
My friends are dead, or so they say
They're just living a dead end life
What is a man without memories?
A hollow shell destined to walk the earth for the answers of life
This life owes you nothing
Nothing owed, and nothing gained due to the lack of existence
I understand, that life continues even if we feel lost in time
Enter life, exit death: the cycle continues
Parasite to this world
This life owes you nothing
Infecting your way through the lives of others for your own twisted prosperity
This cold sensation glistening in the moonlight overtakes my very existence
Who are you?
I can't even tell from the years gone by
You're withered, changed, barely recognized
This life owes you nothing
Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson
Excellent tech death from Canada. Consistently good throughout the album, with strong riffing and musician-ship. Listening to the whole album in one go, I find myself lost in the melodies and it is all over much too soon.
4 out of 5 mangled distortion pedals. King Jonas the Humble
Chicago deathcore outfit Into the Silo torch everything in sight on this searing new LP with riffs that will leave bruises. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 21, 2022
